As the story of Malala Yousafzai, A young girl who was viciously attacked by Taliban movement in Pakistan only because she stood up to her right for proper education, overwhelmed the whole globe and touched the hearts of millions of people and opened their eyes about the brutal conditions that women live through daily in Pakistan, as how young girls face the threat of death only because they want to learn.
While the British government took Malala and granted her proper medical treatment in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, not all of the British public was on the same page regarding the huge interest in Malala by the government and the media, as some wanted to question the government and media why other cases of gender inequality and prejudice, such as the case of the widowed women whom husbands were unlawfully killed by the state, division of labour according to gender, or even the subject of asylum seekers in general.

The attention that Malala has received raised questions regarding numerous issues, as it could be seen that Malala’s misfortune was exploited for goals that are remotely far from supporting human rights or gender equality, as it was viewed as a political message send by Gordon Brown, the prime minister of Britain, with the purpose of making the presence of western troops and military actions in Pakistan or Afghanistan against Taliban more acceptable to the public, yet no one mentions the innocent victims of drone attacks made by the west. Also, there was another subject that raised eyebrows was the PR firm that handled Malala’s communication with the public, the firm did it all for free in order to gain a better market share.

What does not make sense is that many victims of social injustice or war actions didn’t get any attention comparing their cases to what Malala had received, other girls are facing oppression in Pakistan, there are victims of gender inequality in many firms and places in Britain, yet the media ignores them, there are double standards in reporting these cases, as some cases confirm deficiencies in the government are ignored. The media only focus on what supports certain people or factors, not the human rights cause in general.

The disappointing role of public institutions and media is critically dangerous, not every story of aid or help given is for the mere idea of spreading the good in the world, it’s all for other purposes, which shows that in time, there will be no free media, no real coverage of injustices around the world, which eventually leads to hiding what’s really going on from the public’s eyes and minds, The governments will do anything to justify their wrong doings, as in this case, the devastating injuries of a young girl from a troubled region in the world.

Great social Perspective, but TALK ONLY about the text

RAZAN this is not the assignment. I asked you to take each perspective and write a brief explanation of how it is applied in the text. You only did the social and logical perspectives.
