Chemical Weapon attack in Syria
Why is that we always have to believe
what the West say? Why are the Americans always the right ones? Back in 2013
John Kerry, secretary of state, claimed that the Assad regime was responsible
for the chemical weapon attack that took place in the Ghouta (south of
Damascus). This claim of his was subjective and prejudiced by all means and no actual
facts were available to support his assertion. The Assad regime was not
responsible for this inhumane act for a number of reasons. First and foremost,
it is clear that the West are liars. Back in 2003 Saddam Hussein was accused by
the west of holding a weapon of mass destruction and used this accusation as a
reason to attack Iraq without the support from the UN Security Council. As a result,
an approximate of one million Iraqi citizens died, one million refugees fled the
country, and about fifty percent of the country was destroyed only to foolishly
apologize two years later with a simple sorry from the secretary of State,
Colin Powell. How can a simple sorry possibly be enough to excuse their brutal destruction
of an entire nation? Second of all, on a factual basis, the Syrian army was 5
Km away from the location where the incident took place. So how can it be that
the Syrian government was responsible for the attack? Others might say that the
rebels don’t have access to chemical weapons and only Assad’s regime does. But
people fail to realize that anyone can make a chemical weapon by gathering a huge
amount of chlorine and vaporizing it until it becomes deadly. Conclusively,
there is always two sides of a story and one should examine each side before
coming up with a conclusion especially when the two sides are in opposition.
Looking in the perspective of the
American’s I do understand why they would claim such an allegation. John Kerry’s
highest priority is to offer security to the western people and serve western
interests. Consequently he will do everything in his will to demolish the
Syrian government as it is the only regime in the region not following western
policy. Look at this transition of failed states such as Tunis, Egypt and
Yemen. They broke those nations and now its Syria’s turn. In order to fail the
nation they must get its citizens against the ruling government. Accusing
Bashar’s regime for the chemical weapon attack would help them demand the fall
of Assad. Politics is a huge game that no one person can fully understand. Each
side will try to win and acquire its benefits. The West, in this case, want to
intervene in Syria as a means of reducing Iranian power and influence on the Middle
East. After all, John Kerry is doing his job.
