Me, Myself, and I

Hello,
My name is Noura Kalo and I am, regrettably, still 17 years old. I will finally be turning 18 on October 31st (which also happens to be Halloween). I consider myself a very versatile person because of my many hobbies. They include: reading, writing, painting, dancing, cooking and baking, yoga, and even knitting. I had participated in MUN during all three years of high school, so i'm also into debating and public speaking, though i'm not too sure if you can consider those hobbies.
I wish i could say that i'm an easy going person, but i'm not. I'm pretty uptight and anxious most of the time, but i have a sick, twisted sense of humor which makes up for it.

Hello! My name is Nadim Arasoghli and I am 18 years old. I graduated the past month of June from International College Beirut and I have a French Baccalaureate Diploma (Specialization in Mathematics). I am currently a first-year Computer and Communications Engineering student at AUB. I love traveling and gaming (games such as DotA 2, Warcraft 3, etc.). I like sports and was part of the Volleyball Varsity team of my school for two years. My favorite color is grey. I rarely watch TV. That's it.

Salutations!

Let me start off by introducing myself, my name is Garabed Bardakjian (you can call me Garo) an 18 year old Mechanical Engineering student at the American University of Beirut, who started last spring, keeping up the everyday struggle of being an Armenian in Lebanon. It’s not that bad. I mean, you get to have a mother who smothers you pound-for-pound with lamb meat and an over expecting father… yey… (Sarcasm)(That was obvious). I am friendly, but come off as self-centered. Athletic, poetic, and musically well oriented.

I hope this isn’t too brief, but there is always more to the eye-can-see. Hopefully in later blogs.

Hey, this is Racha Moubarak! I’m 18 years old and I’m coming from a small village in the south of Lebanon. I’ve graduated from champville last year and I’m a first year student at aub. I’m a tennis player and I’ve been dancing for about 10 years but this year I’ll be tacking for the first time rumba classes. My favorite color is black and I don’t really have a favorite food. The country that I most want to visit is actually Cuba so I can spend long days sitting at the beach and sharing some good drinks with friends. So you can tell that summer is my favorite season.

Hi, my name is Amena Al-Homsi. I turn 19 on the 20^th of September (this Sunday).I’m a premed student at AUB, I’m a biology freak and proud. I intend to become a neuro-surgeon. I am serious at times, but, I love to hang out A LOT and laugh. I love to swim during all seasons. I love to read but now I don’t have any time at all. Black is my favorite color, it is a sexy happy color. I love bemye more than anything in the world, it’s my favorite and that's pretty much it.

Hey there, I am Nour Saliba, a sophomore studying chemical engineering at AUB (American University of Beirut).  I still have no idea if I will enjoy this major, but I hope I will. I have two older and wiser siblings that I love to bother. My favorite color is yellow because it’s a happy color. My favorite animal is the leopard.  I enjoy running and skiing. My favorite country is Italy. My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love watching movies, especially old movies like Star Wars, Scent of a Woman… Listening to old songs is also one of my favorite past time. See you around campus, bye.

Introducing Me (at least trying to)

             My name is Jessica Bou Assi and I am currently 18 years old. I was born in Sydney and grew up in Abu Dhabi, then moved to Lebanon when I was about 13. I tend to be very lazy which is why I don’t have many hobbies. Almost everything interests me though! I used to play piano, until I lost the patience to learn new pieces. I don't always finish books that I read or paintings that I started on. Despite all the koala-like laziness, I actually hate just sitting around at home all day. I absolutely love going to the beach, park, or anywhere that has a really nice place to sit and just hang. I’ve always wanted to surf, but never had the courage to go for it. I prefer gelato over ice cream, and I adore pineapples (they're literally the coolest fruit ever).

I am on the American football team at AUB, I play as a wide receiver. In my spare I like to exercise. I also am a professional snowboarder. I have been snowboarding for 10 years.

      My name is Lina Sharabi. I was born into a family that consists of 6 members and I’m the youngest among my two brothers and sister. I graduated high school last semester. To know more about me, I’m a Jordanian who’s currently living in Beirut, Lebanon. I’m a freshman at the American University of Beirut, where I am hoping to major in Business. Not long ago, I realized that one of my favorite things to do is reading, mostly non-fiction, which I definitely desire more than fiction, and one thing I love to do more than read is to simply explore a bookstore, from inch to inch, and discover all the collections of books and options I have, which gives me a chance to learn about the things that encouraged all the successful authors to write such inspirational books. I hope by the end of this semester, I will reach the highest of levels in this course. This is my goal for now and I hope this is a good start.

Hello, my name is Salameh but I grew up being called Sam, so call me Sam.
I’m 18, my favorite color is black and I like pasta. I grew up in Africa, the west part not the fancy south, so not the most lavish childhood but it wasn't boring either. this would be my second year in Lebanon since we had to move here to run away from Ebola

I play no sports but I like books :P and Octopuses are my favorite animals. I also like dogs but we have a fat cat instead. I like to think of myself as an open minded person and up for new and exiting experiences. Thats it.

My name is Saed Shaka from Palestine, born on the 5th of May and i'm asophomore in AUB even though it’s my first semester. I’m planning on majoring in Media with a minor in Marketing or Psychology (Not sure yet). I just recently moved from Dubai where I was attending the Universal American School in Dubai for the past 4 years of high school. At school I took the IB Diploma program and that explains why I got to skip freshman year of university.

My hobbies include sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, Rugby and a bit of Football, I used to be the ‘School DJ’ not for my DJ’ing skills but for my apparently great taste in music and you can tell I’m quite addicted to music because you will never find me without my earphones and something to plug them into. The main music I listen to would be Deep house, Future house, Rap, RnB/Soul, Dubstep with my favorite artist being Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd) but i'm open to listening to anything new. I also don't look like a hyper person, but wait until you see the real me outside of uni. Yea thats pretty much it...

My name is Dina Salem, I was born in Jordan on the 14^th of September 1997, and raised in Palestine. I moved to Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 2007. I am an aspiring journalist and filmmaker here at AUB. I used to play piano but I stopped, and now I moved towards playing volleyball.

         My name is Rayyan Nasr, I am 17 years old. I am obsessed with software, specifically iOS. In my spare time I build applications and read books. I am a football (soccer) fan and support FC Barcelona. My favorite TV shows include Friends, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Supernatural, and the Walking Dead.
